Ali is a Papua New Guinea-Australian singer/songwriter. She has dedicated her life to her passion for writing and playing music.
A wanderer and an experienced nomad, she has lived in eight different countries and draws a worldly musical sound to her musical compositions.
At a young age, she began to teach herself how to play guitar and write songs. When asked about what genre she thinks her music belongs, she describes it “like skin color. So many different types but all coming from the same place. We’re all the same on the inside”. With such a liberal mentality towards her music, there are a diverse variety of influences that shape her sound. These include Tracy Chapman, Bob Marley, Whitney Houston, Jack Johnson, D’Angelo and many more.
